After touring the world, jazz trumpeter and composer Byron Wallen gathers together three friends – virtuoso sax player Tony Kofi (World Saxophone Quartet, Ornette Coleman), earthy double bassist Larry Bartley (Courtney Pine, Jean Toussaint), and funky, fluid drummer Tom Skinner (Sons of Kemet, The Smile) to search for a magical new style of music that anyone can dance to.
Joining the dots between traditional rhythms from Africa, New Orleans jazz, numerology, and simple melodies, the sound that they uncover is more powerful and influential than they could ever have imagined.
